The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to invite you during May 18 – June 10, 2018 at the 5th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival.

The event is organized by the Oradea International Theatre Festival Cultural Foundation and the Arcadia Troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre, in partnership with the National Cultural Fund Administration, the Oradea City Hall, the National Organization of the Scouts of Romania – Oradea Local Center, the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and the Region and the Lions Club. For a month, the city will transform into a magical space, where the most beautiful stories in the world will come to life to delight the souls of young and old spectators. The festival debuts, as every year, with „Parade of fairy tale characters and dolls”", an event that will take place on Friday, May 18, at 4:00 PM, starting from the Vulturu Negru Passage, where children are invited to meet their favorite fairy tale characters. Every weekend, the theater opens its doors wide for new and new stories, presented with passion by theaters from Cluj Napoca, Alba Iulia, Arad, Ploiești, Timișoara, Bucharest and Oradea. The special surprise of this year's edition is that the festival will also have an international component, namely the "Hepp Trupp" Troupe from Hungary, which will honor us with its presence and will perform the show "The Three Little Pigs", on Saturday, May 26, at 11:00 AM, at the Arcadia Hall. In addition to theater performances for children and other events dedicated to them, the Arcadia Festival also addresses young spectators. They are invited to the extraordinary concert "9 remixed songs", performed by actor Alex Ștefănescu, known to the public through his participation in television talent and humor contests, which will take place on June 8, at 8:00 PM, in the Oradea Citadel Amphitheater, and to the show "Planeta manipulare", produced by REACTOR Cluj Napoca, which will take place on June 9, at 7:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall. We also respect the tradition already created two editions ago, of challenging the most daring and creative children to participate in "„Creative workshops and outdoor activities”"supported by ONCR, in the Oradea Citadel, which will take place during the last week of the festival, in period 4 – 8 June, daily from 4:00 p.m. They will be able to hunt for treasures, learn how to make the most intricate knots, paint, create bracelets and small works of art from origami and quilling and build kites. The festival will thus include 14 theater performances, a musical concert, a week of workshops that will put the creativity and spirit of adventure of the little spectators to the test and a magical parade, in which the most beloved fairy tale characters will come to life, events that will take place in three locations: Arcadia Hall, the Great Hall of the Theater and the Oradea Citadel. Arcadia Children's Theater Festival is financed by The Administration of the National Cultural Fund, public institution subordinate to the Ministry of Culture, which provides non-reimbursable funding every year to institutions carrying out cultural activities. We look forward to seeing you at the festival!
