Wednesday, October 29, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM, the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea joins the official events organized in King Ferdinand Square to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Queen Maria of Romania — the sovereign who contributed decisively to the creation of Greater Romania and to the consolidation of the country's prestige in the world.

Actress Lucia Rogoz will bring the figure of Queen Maria to the public in a symbolic appearance that will start right from the State Theater building – a place full of significance, which hosts the cultural institution that bears her name. In a solemn step, the Queen will greet the military detachment, evoking the authentic closeness she always had towards the Romanian soldiers and the country.

The moment will continue with the reading of an excerpt from Queen Mary's diary, a profound and personal text, in which the Sovereign expresses her gratitude for the Romanian people and the hope that Romania will remain dignified, loved and strong. It is a confession that reflects her entire existence, a life lived in the service of the nation.

Lucia Rogoz's performance highlights not only the Queen's historical role, but also her humanity, sensitivity, courage and unwavering love for Romania. Through gestures, voice and presence, the artistic moment brings back the spirit of a great Sovereign in the present, inviting the audience to remember and honor her legacy.

14:05 – 14:25 – Ceremony of laying bouquets of flowers at Statue of Queen Maria of Romania;
14:25 – 14:30 – Parade of the honor detachment.

The event is organized at the initiative of the Bihor County Prefecture, in partnership with the cultural institutions in the county, which naturally join the effort to honor the memory of Queen Maria. Through their contribution, these institutions reaffirm the importance of preserving and celebrating the historical and cultural values that define the identity of the Bihor community and of all of Romania.
