Oradea Cultural Salon at the Teatru and Impro Patzan Show at Columbus – this week at the Regina Maria Theater

The Regina Maria Theater invites you this week to two related events, which complement the theater's cultural program and invite the audience to intercultural dialogue.

On Wednesday, February 19, from 5:00 PM, in the Loji Foyer (1st floor), the Regina Maria Theater hosts the second edition of the Oradea Culture Salon, founded by university professor and literary critic Ion Simuț. The special guest of this edition is Ms. Simona Mihuțiu, "an Oradea writer in full affirmation" (Ion Simuț), with a prolific literary activity, who has written four novels, three volumes of short prose, three volumes of poetry, a volume of essays and two plays since 2019.

The Regina Maria Theater celebrates National Culture Day through a series of cultural events in Bihor County

On the occasion of National Culture Day, the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea is preparing a series of special events dedicated to celebrating Romanian cultural heritage. On Wednesday, January 15, the entire Bihor community is invited to participate in a series of activities that will bring to the fore both literary traditions and the importance of culture in our daily lives. From poetry performances and recitals dedicated to the great classics of Romanian literature, to interactive meetings with contemporary authors, the proposed program will respond to a wide spectrum of tastes and interests. Each event will be an opportunity to reflect on the role of culture in the formation of our national identity and to rediscover the beauty of the Romanian word.

The Iosif Vulcan troupe of the Regina Maria Theater is preparing for the premiere of the show "Elif and the Rain" by Sami Ibrahim, directed by Alex Ianăși, scheduled for December 21 and 22, from 7:00 PM, at the Transilvania Hall.

Sami Ibrahim is a young London writer with a rising career, having already been nominated for Awards Olivier and receiving an award for political theater in 2019. Sami Ibrahim addresses themes in his texts that raise questions about pressing contemporary socio-political issues, questioning the social system that we have created and which sometimes turns against us, especially when we encounter Other.
