Invitation to the theater for children and people with disabilities
On the occasion of International Charity Day, marked every year on September 5, two free performances for children and adolescents with disabilities will take place at the Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theater.
Each troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre will perform a show at the Great Hall, with the aim of supporting the social integration of children and young people with disabilities from Oradea and Bihor County. From 11:00, the show "Beauty and the Beast" will take place, in which you will be able to see the puppeteers of the Arcadia Troupe, and from 18:00, the show "French Teacher" will take place, performed by the actors of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe.
This series of events is organized within a program to promote the social integration of children and young people with disabilities in Oradea and Bihor County, a program that also included recreational and sports events (such as the Rotary Friendship Train, or the organization of a picnic with kayaking activities on Lake Merita in Cheresig). The initiative is initiated by the Alliance of People with Disabilities in Bihor, entitled ID Oradea Alliance (Integrate Disabilitate Oradea), through the Rotary Club Oradea, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation Bihor and the Philanthropy Association Oradea. "ID Oradea - we promote the integration of people with disabilities" is a project coordinated by the SM Bihor Foundation and co-financed by the Bihor County Council.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
