Coming to Oradea, as a graduate, she played a season there, left, together with Radu Penciulescu, to the National Theatre in Craiova, and after a year they returned together. She achieved her great creation in Ioana in "Ciocarlia" by Jean Anouilh in 1958, after which she was requested by the National Theatre "ILCaragiale" in Bucharest, where she developed the rest of her career. Unfortunately, not at the level that was hoped for after the first successes. In the performance "The Ciocarlia" by Jean Anouilh - one of the most appreciated nationally in those years (1958-1959), Eliza Plopeanu masterfully embodied the role of Joan of Arc. "The young Eliza Plopeanu was a revelation for the Bucharest audience - wrote Vera Călin, after the tour of the State Theater from Oradea to Bucharest - I watched with pleasure her nuanced acting and sensitive physiognomy".
