Blaga, Joanna

Actress

Date and place of birth: 12.11.1968, Bucharest

Studies: "Babeş-Bolyai" University, Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Letters, Acting Department, 1994

In 1995 she came to Oradea. An unfortunate debut – the role of Woman – moreover the main role – in the play „Aproape o pădure” (the debut in dramaturgy of the young Ana Ripka Rus). A failed, unsuccessful, practical play (directed by Iustina Prisăcaru), which was performed very few times. She proved much better in the role of Woman in the play „Hey, good people!” by William Saroyan, directed by Petru Vutcărău, proving her capacity for concentration and tragic sense. Tall, well-built, brunette with black eyes, Ioana Blaga was one of the best performers of the role of Angustias in the play „Casa Bernardei Alba” by FGLorca. She thought out her role carefully, putting „to the test” not only a generous body gifted by nature, but also a special sensitivity and a well-toned voice.

Zdrehus, Corneliu

Actors Archive Iosif Vulcan Troupe

Artistic director

Date and place of birth: 20.01.1926, Săcel

Studies: "ILCaragiale" Institute of Theater and Cinematography, Bucharest, acting department – 1951, directing department – 1952

Before coming as the main director in the formation that marked the beginning of the existence of the Romanian section of the Oradea theater, he worked at the theaters in Arad and Galaţi. He staged the inaugural show with "O scrisoare pierdută" by IL Caragiale, and, in the same season, "Inima noastră" by Valeriu Luca, a show that won 3rd place at the Decade of Original Drama in 1956, the director receiving the same distinction: 3rd place for direction. A profound and methodical, intelligent, extremely sensitive and refined director, he also produced other shows, of a good professional level, some even very good, until serious health problems negatively influenced his artistic activity, and, ultimately, caused his premature death.   (Presentation by Eugen Ţugulea)

Volbea, Zacharias

Actors Archive Iosif Vulcan Troupe

Actor

Studies: secondary

He also played in Arad.

An actor with a rich interpretive palette, both in the dramatic and comic register, with the science of character construction, he was one of the most used actors in the theater, playing seventeen roles in just three seasons, and not simple appearances of a few lines: Silvestru Trandafir in "The Deserter" by Mihail Sorbul, Zurăscu in "Nota zero la purtare" by Virgil Stoenescu and Octavian Sava, Nichita in "Omul cu mârţoaga" by G. Ciprian, La Hire in "Ciocârlia" by Jean Anouilh, are just a few of the actor's reference creations. Due to personal problems, he moved to the Theater in Bârlad, where he worked until the end of his career and life.

Vladimir, Misu

Actors Archive Iosif Vulcan Troupe

Actor

Date and place of birth: 20.11.1911, Vaslui

Studies: secondary

A particularly likeable actor, a great sleuth, he began his career as a vocalist, then a prompter, at some theatrical companies in the capital – "Alhambra", Teatrul Vesel, "Baraşeum", "Teatrul nostru" –, even before the Second World War, where: Ianconescu, George Vraca, Critico, the Bulandras and other "greats" of the time worked. He later became an actor, and after the establishment of state theaters, he got a job in Arad, together with his first wife.  In 1955 he was asked to come to Oradea, to found the new collective. Here he made his debut in the role of Ghiţă Pristanda in the inaugural performance „O scrisoare pierdută” by IL Caragiale, and appeared in several important or secondary roles in the many years he spent on the Oradea stage. A good actor („he knew how to wear a tailcoat” – as they say), he truly shone in the role of Ianke in the performance „Tache, Ianke și Cadâr” by VIPopa. He was magnificent.
