Who was born on (1) April...
Two actors of the "Regina Maria" Theater - "Iosif Vulcan" Troupe were born on April 1. Humorous and vibrant personalities, both have open, communicative and energetic personalities, which can be seen in the interviews below. You can see both of them in "...Escu", the most recent production of the Oradea theater.
Happy birthday, Adela Lazar!
– Adela, your presence never goes unnoticed. You wear clothes in bright and diverse colors, you have colorful accessories. Where does this preference come from, which, let's say, reflects your tonic character?
– I have always liked colors. They make me happy. They simply give me a sense of well-being that those around me also feel when they see me and I honestly try to infect them with this, with my chromatic joy. I love rainbow, candy pink, turquoise and red with white dots. I am sure that if people loved colors more, they would be happier. Do you believe me?
– You became an actress, but you're also a painter. Is it an outlet or an inner need?
– I am a painter-actress. An actress who paints and a painter who plays theater. They are interdependent. They are my dreams come true and I could never give up one in favor of the other. They complete me, they are part of me, of my world that is only mine, I often feel like I am from another planet, a planet where you don't have problems but only solutions, where it is better to smile than to look at someone with a frown, where giving a selfless gift and encouraging your friends is normal… I didn't plan my future as a child, and now I am happy that the universe knew how to spin and position me so that I would be the right person in the right place. I hope.
– Do you have more... pragmatic, let's say, passions? What would you have wanted to be if you hadn't become an actress?
– I finished the Pedagogical High School and I am a teacher – educator with proper documents, with a diploma, everything, I taught for four years in Tg. Mureș while I was an acting student. I like to cook and drive a lot and listen to radio drama during this time.
– An inevitable question: what's it like to be born on April 1st?
– It's funny and cool. I don't think I could have chosen a better day to be born. Thanks mom.
– What's the secret to the zest for life you always show?
– The secret is not to show the training. The secret is that I do what I love and believe in it, no matter what. My unsecret secrets are Anabela, Sebi, my family and friends who support me and encourage me to be myself. The secret is to smile even when you feel like crying. The secret is to accept yourself and laugh at your flaws. The secret is to appreciate everyone and always thank them, even if it's not their birthday. The secret is not to forget where you started from. The secret is the colors. The ultimate secret is that there is no secret.
Happy birthday, Petre Ghimbașan!
– Petre Ghimbășan, I learned that you were a woodturner, you like football and horse riding. Where did your passion for theater come from?
– I worked as a lathe operator for three years, the army at CFR – one year, plus seven years of professional football. My passion for theater was sparked by a meeting with actress Viorica Geantă-Chelbea, at the Popular Art School in Brașov, in 1990.
– How do your old "technical" occupations manifest themselves in your existence today? Do you have any hobbies?
– I don't need a painter, electrician, plumber, car mechanic, carpenter in my house. I do them all with great pleasure. Even if I were no longer an actor, I could easily return to Brașov, where I grew up, and work the land I inherited. My family has supplied Brașov with vegetables for several hundred years.
– You are married to an actress, Corina Cernea. Is it an advantage or not to have both the same profession?
– It's both an advantage and a disadvantage. We know each other's schedules by the second. And we've heard most of the criticisms of the acting profession from each other.
– What role would you most like to play?
– What role do I get, the next one, that is. And directors to work with the troupe. I would like to reprise Estragon from "Waiting for Godot" and Akaki Akakievich from "Mantua" in other productions.
– The inevitable question: what's it like to be born on April Fool's Day?
– I try never to fool myself.
