The most appreciated show of recent years produced by the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea, the musical Fiddler on the Roof, recorded its first success abroad. The event was organized at the Thalia Theater in Budapest at the invitation of the Romanian Embassy in Hungary, with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute, the Bihor County Council and the Oradea City Hall.

The show was performed in front of 400 spectators, including prominent representatives of the diplomatic corps in Budapest, representatives of the Romanian Cultural Institute and the Romanian community in Hungary, as well as Hungarian spectators.

 „"The famous show "Fiddler on the Roof" by the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea was performed in Budapest, at the Thalia Theater, on the evening of March 17th.

The Budapest audience, made up of representatives of Hungarian institutions, the artistic and diplomatic environment, as well as the Romanian community in Hungary, appreciated the exceptional performance of the Oradea theater artists, who were ovated for minutes at the end.

The success of the play "The Fiddler on the Roof" in Budapest reflects the receptivity of the public in the Hungarian capital towards the creations, messages and values of Romanian culture."„

The fruit of the fruitful collaboration between the three component troupes of the Regina Maria Theatre (Iosif Vulcan Troupe, Arcadia Troupe and the "Crișana" Professional Artistic Ensemble), also benefiting from the presence of musicians from the extended orchestra of the Jewish community in Oradea - Hakeshet Klezmer Band, "The Fiddler on the Roof" is a show appreciated by both specialist critics and the public in the country.

He was invited to prestigious festivals such as the Musical Performing Arts Festival in Bucharest (in November 2011, two months after the premiere at home), organized by the "Ion Dacian" Operetta Theater, but also the International Education Festival (in Iași - in 2013) or the "Atelier" Festival (Baia Mare - 2012), "Fără Bariere" (Satu Mare - 2012) or the more recent "Teatru pe Drumul Sării" Festival in Turda (2014).

The critical acclaim came with the large number of nominations and awards that this show received – in 2012, the show was rewarded with two nominations at the UNITER Awards Gala – Ioana Dragoș Gajdo (the role of Golde) for best supporting actress and Vioara Bara for best set design. Richard Balint received the special jury award at the 2012 Atelier Festival, along with a nomination for best actor in a leading role, and András Loránd received the award for best choreography.
