The 2018-2019 season at the Crișana Professional Artistic Ensemble

The Crişana Professional Artistic Ensemble has ended its leave and according to legal provisions is on vacation, a period in which we are preparing the new season but also supporting some performances. Thus, the dance team is preparing new choreographies, the orchestra and soloists are working intensively on studio prints and preparing materials with guests for future actions.

Sunday, August 26, 2018, we will participate in the Corvin Fair in Lugaşul de Jos with the show "I Love the Song and the Game" and on September 9 at the Saint Andrew's Days, where the ensemble's orchestra will also accompany the city hall's guests at the event.

We will then travel to our brothers across the Prut on September 15-16 at a great International Folklore Festival entitled "Generation Centenary" organized with the support of the Bihor County Council and at the request of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau where artists from all over Romania will participate and where we will represent our county with honor. On September 21, 2018, we will hold a charity concert at the State Philharmonic Hall in Oradea for the benefit of a suffering little girl and then, some of the ensemble members will be with the Romanian Community in Sacramento with whom we will celebrate at the Festival of Romanians in this part of the world. The event takes place under the sign of the Centenary of the Great Union and we will represent Romania with special moments presenting Bihor County. We thank the County Council for its support.

We will then organize an Extraordinary Show at the main hall of the Regina Maria Theater on the occasion of the National Day of Romania as well as a concert of traditional carols with the members of the ensemble and with groups of performers from the country. We are considering for the new season also improving the material base of the ensemble by purchasing instruments and repairing the ones in the equipment as well as making new costumes. We are also encouraged in our efforts and by the good collaboration we have with the new interim manager, Mrs. Elvira Rîmbu.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
