Queen Marie Theater Oradea

Actress

Date and place of birth: 21.06.1975, Iași

Studies: "George Enescu" University of Arts, Iași, Faculty of Theatre, 1998

An actress with a robust, undeniable native talent, beautiful, intelligent, releasing a positive energy, a spontaneity that hides work, continuous preparation, humor, but also a well-managed sensitivity, never tearful, sweet. An extremely tonic and pleasant presence.

In "The Maids", in the role of Claire, she did her best, from an interpretative point of view, in a show that was not, as written, quite cohesive, the director's vision being that of a young man insufficiently prepared for Jean Genet's demanding text. Together with Delia Martin (Solange), they nevertheless formed a couple not lacking in interest, somewhat happily completing the picture of the "sisters accomplices in crime" and bringing a bit of mystery to an insufficiently elaborate show.

In the role of Louise in "Is the Assassin Among Us? (Eight Women)" by Robert Thomas, she was very precise, extremely appetizing, very well dosing the mystery with the concreteness of the facts and events related to the detective genre. Ever since her debut in "The Barber of Seville" by Beaumarchais (a lively, attractive and very feminine Rosine), the chronicler Dumitru Chirilă noted: "Paula Chirilă will be, is a good comedic ingenue". Her talent proves robust. In the performance "Exercises of Style" after Raymond Queneau, she excels in verve, releasing an infectious good mood. The intelligent lines that fell to her were spoken promptly and with a lot of humor. But she clearly proved that she also possesses a lot of dramatic talent - even as a tragedian. In the play "Intruder" by Maurice Maeterlinck, Mihai Măniuţiu made great demands on her, casting her in the role of the Dying Lady - a thankless position, in which she remained motionless for an hour and a half, he highly recommends her for great tragic roles. Unfortunately, she focused mainly on comedy, but even these roles, less demanding, let's say, although we know that it is not easy to play comedy, the actress has a special charm, a well-defined personality, she plays with nerve and with her own humor, not copying famous models. In "Delirium in two, in three, in as many as you want" by Eugen Ionescu, a columnist observed that the show signed by Ion Ciubotaru was a good reason to highlight the talent of some "promising actors: Paula Chirilă being at the top of the list".

(Presentation by Eugen Ţugulea)

It is currently part of the famous Divertis Group, being one of the most talented actresses in that troupe.
