CHIPI, THE GIANT DWARF

after Sándor Fodor, a performance by Iulian Bulancea

Greatness hides in a pure heart!

The show "Chipi, the Giant Dwarf" is inspired by the book "Chipi, this giant dwarf" by Sándor Fodor, one of the most famous literary creations for children from the contemporary Transylvanian space. The stage adaptation proposes a formula in verse, with expressive puppets and a playful aesthetic, exploring themes such as self-acceptance, altruism and friendship.

Cipi is a dwarf convinced that the entire world in the forest works because of him. He wakes everyone up every morning, explains to the bees how to make honey and tells the birds how to sing. Because they love him, the others allow him to believe that the little forest could not exist without him. But Cipi is not enough. His greatest desire is to grow, to be taller and stronger. When he discovers that the world is moving forward even without his help, his determination to be great becomes even stronger.

With the help of the mysterious Goliath dust, he reaches the starry sky, where, for the first time, he feels truly important. But up there, lost among the planets, he also discovers what loneliness means. This is how he understands a wonderful truth: greatness does not lie in size or power, but in love and friendship. But the adventure does not stop there. Cipi now has a new challenge: will he manage to become a dwarf again and return home?
