Mereuţă Vendramini, Oana

Actress
Date and place of birth: 02.01.1964, Ploiesti
Studies: Institute of Theater and Cinematography "ILCaragiale" Bucharest, 1990, acting department, class of Prof. Gelu Colceag
The young Oana Mereuţă came to the Oradea State Theatre, as she confessed in an interview, mainly because of the agreement with Alexandru Darie to play the role of Constanza Weber in the revival of Peter Shaffer's "Amadeus" (played with great finesse, admirably by Cristina Şchiopu, who has left the country for good, in the Netherlands). After playing smaller roles in Pierre Chesnot's "Lifting" and Brandon Thomas' "Aunt Charley", she was indeed entrusted with the role of Constanza in the show that was so beautiful, carefully crafted and "soaked" in music: "Amadeus".
A being full of poetry, passionate about poetry, romantic, herself playing the oboe, introverted, intelligent and passionately loving books and the stage, she built the role of Constanza with fantasy and refinement and superior understanding. To which she also added the necessary wave of humor. "The mixture of devotion and frivolity, which characterizes the character, was well achieved by the young actress" - believes Diumitru Chirilă. A role in which her artistic qualities were also well highlighted was that of Nastia in the play "The Mandate" ("We Are Looking for a Communist Son-in-Law" by Nikolai Erdman) - a role in which she elegantly combined "fineness with elements of satire against Bolshevism.
With intelligence and humor of the highest quality, she composed the character of Marcella in the coupé show "The Darkness of the Day, the Light of the Night", delivering her monologue from Aldo Nicolaj's play with verve and aplomb. She was rewarded with the Interpretation Award for the best comic role at the Short Theatre Week, 8th edition, 1991.
A seraphic and tender Miranda in Shakespeare's "The Tempest" (critics Mircea Ghiţulescu, Dumitru Chirilă, Mircea Morariu's praises going mainly to Ion Mâinea and Oana Mereuţă), and a temperamental, sensual, frenetic Ivanca in the performance of Lucian Blaga's play. And she was a partner full of tenderness and warmth, supported by her older colleague, maestro Ion Mâinea, her partner in the performance "Între patru ochi" by Alexandr Ghelman.
A passionate reciter, the actress took part in two poetry performances dedicated to Eminescu (January 1991 and 1992).
