ACCUSATIVE GENDER | March premiere
The Regina Maria Theater is pleased to announce the premiere of the show THE ACCUSATIVE GENRE, written and directed by Mimi Brănescu, a delightful tragicomedy, in which the mix of comedy and drama recreates an episode from the everyday life of an ordinary family.
Given that Oradea has re-entered the yellow scenario and is playing again with 30% of the theater's capacity, THE ACCUSATIVE GENDER will have three consecutive performances as a premiere: Friday, March 5, Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7, from 6:00 PM, at the Great HallSpectators who are unable to make it to the first three performances have the opportunity to see the show on Sunday, March 28, from 6:00 PM, at the Great Hall.
After the death of her husband, Marina sets out determined to take revenge for every injustice she has suffered from those close to her over time. Hysterics, slander, outbursts, painful secrets are unleashed and turn everything upside down. Nothing is forgotten and forgiven. Every mistake is recorded and penalized.
The situations created and the dynamic dialogues are insanely humorous, the characters free themselves from formalities and hypocrisy, but they reveal serious character flaws and raise serious questions about family relationships.
Mimi Branescu is an actor, playwright, screenwriter and theater director, equally recognized for each artistic activity he has undertaken. He is also the creator of the Romanian comedy series "Las Fierbinți". With the show GENUL ACUZATIV we find him in a double role: that of playwright and that of theater director, an artistic doubling, to which is undoubtedly added the acting perspective, which perfects the act of creation, giving him the opportunity to look at the show from diverse and complementary angles.
The show's scenography is signed by Oana Cernea, who is collaborating for the first time with director Mimi Brănescu, and the light design and original music belong to Șerban Ionescu.
The cast includes the following actors: Denisa Irina Vlad (Lena), Gabriela Codrea (Marina), Ioana Dragoș Gajdo (Cati), Adela Lazar (Tania), Sorin Ionescu (Anghel), Richard Balint (Ionel) and Pavel Sârghi (Marius).
With each character, you delve deeper into yourself. Sometimes you stir deep, seemingly calm waters. That's what Marina does. Marina, who is a wound with a broken shell, never to be healed. I don't know from what recesses of his soul or of humanity Mimi pulled her out, but even now I'm perplexed with wonder! I admire each character, each word, as if my children were prizewinners at the Olympics abroad!
Mimi Brănescu offered me a trip to an offshore drilling rig, paid not in installments, but in emotions! Well, how many times in your life do you get an offer like that?! – Gabriela Codrea (Marina)
The show is not recommended for people under 16 years of age!
