ARCADIA CHILDREN'S THEATRE FESTIVAL, 2ND EDITION, 2014

Oradea International Theatre Festival – Children's Theatre Festival 2nd Edition (September 20 – October 12, 2014)

Organizers: Regina Maria Theater, FITO Cultural Foundation and Bihor County Council. With financial support from the Oradea City Hall, AFCN and UNITER.

The 2nd edition of the "Arcadia" Children's Theater Festival took place between September 20 and October 12, 2014 and brought together under its aegis a variety of cultural offerings, which were welcomed by both the little ones and those who have preserved the innocence of childhood in their souls.

The novelty of this edition was the children's theater performances supported by the international companies Karromato from the Czech Republic and Kukla Istanbul from Turkey, as well as the involvement in the project of important theater schools in the country, which presented their own productions, thus giving them the opportunity to play in front of a large audience. Also, another attraction of the event were the street puppet shows supported by the PurAnima Bucharest Association, which skillfully initiated passers-by into the universe of puppet theater.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
