Queen Marie Theater Oradea

Musical show with actors and puppets by George Mihalache

„"The children brought to the Puppet Theater, in a general commotion, await the curtain to rise and the appearance of the usual puppets. To the surprise and delight of the little spectators, some large and lively "puppets" appear, with all the props, of course tightrope walking - clowning - pant legs to the rhythm of captivating and engaging music, very easy for children to remember, authored by Prof. Gheorghe David. His music constitutes a true "character" of the entire show. […]

The text of the show "Bimbo and the Pink Panther" belongs to the author George Mihalache and is a reference to characters beloved by children: the elephant Bimbo, the Pink Panther, Tarzan, pirates, long-distance captains, harlequins, etc., and the actual story of the Pink Panther's rescue includes allusions to domestic-contemporary aspects of our current times, reviving the interest and lines of the young spectators, often the actors being in a lively dialogue with the audience.

The entire show is an explosion of joy and brings a smile to the faces of even the saddest adults, both through the overflowing joy and the victory of good over evil. […]

Director Ion Mâinea, the renowned Oradea actor, knew how to convincingly combine the actors' performance with the significance of the puppets, creating a unity of style and harmoniously combining the real world with the fantastic one. […]

Memorable are the energy expenditure and the pleasure of acting of the actors: Cristina Serac, Rodica Suplacan, Marlena Prigoreanu, Mirela Corbeanu, Jeni Bődi Wolanska, loan Moldovan, Florin Tripa, Florin Stan. The set design was signed by Zoltán Kádár. Csűri Emese, Szebeni Victoria, Nicolae Ştef, Lucian Obadă, Barabás Alexandru, Dumitru and Radu Oros worked in the technical workshops. The tireless and massive impresario of the Puppet Theatre, Mr. Marius Aron invites us to always keep in touch with him at 133-398 to share in this success of the puppeteers at home and with the public.” (Paşcu Balaci, Crisana, (February 14, 1995)
