"Monsters don't exist unless we create them! We need people to believe in them."

The show is an adaptation, the text being brought up to the speed of information transfer we use now. Only one character has retained his pedantry, only he is aware of this and refuses to simplify, because he believes that the power of the word has beauty.

The text talks about blind faith, about hubris, a subject that retains its contemporary character. However, in the 21st century this blind faith in absolutely everything becomes particularly dangerous, because it only appears in the absence of information. It is dangerous to believe in something without knowing, without understanding what you believe in, and here we are not talking only about religion, but about hubris of any kind. Even more dangerous is that in this context people like Tartuffe appear, who can give you the feeling that you have understood. That is his great ability, that he draws you a reality that is not true.

But Tartuffe could not exist if someone did not believe in him. And Orgon, out of the need to have a heavenly shepherd, chooses to believe him. No one uses Tartuffe's monstrous side unless they need to. So, I think that's how Tartuffe uses his abilities to deceive, because it works.” (Vlad Trifaș)
