Queen Marie Theater Oradea

Actor

Date and place of birth: 21.09.1930, Ploiesti

Studies: Institute of Theater and Cinematography "ILCaragiale" Bucharest, 1955, class of Prof. Ion Talianu, People's Artist, assistant Mihai Raicu

He debuted in Oradea, as part of the "group of 12", with a... bold role: Brânzovenescu in "A Lost Letter" by IL Caragiale, then, in six seasons, playing no less than forty roles or appearances - justified by the artistic qualities of the available actor, especially in the comic register, but also in the dramatic or musical. For the role of Nică in "Our Heart" by Valeriu Luca, he received a Mention at the Decade of Original Drama, in 1956.

For family reasons, he moved to the Galati Theater, where he worked until his retirement and… after. In the meantime, he also proved his vocation in literature, publishing several volumes of poetry. Sporadically, he also appeared in some film productions.

(Presentation by Eugen Ţugulea)
