Leonte, Aurora

Actress
Date and place of birth: 12.06.1953, Bucharest
Studies: Institute of Theater and Cinematography "ILCaragiale" Bucharest, 1981, class of Prof. Petrică Vasilescu
At the Institute she played several extremely demanding and demanding roles, at the same time; we only mention Ziţa in "A Lost Letter" by IL Caragiale, Ioana in "Saint Joan" by GB Shaw or Sonia in "Uncle Vanya" by AP Chekhov, or in Tompa Gábor's directing class: Mira ("Master Manole" by Lucian Blaga), Alla ("Tango" by Slawomir Mrožek), Winnie ("Oh, les beaux jours" by Samuel Beckett). She played a leading role in the film "The Bride on the Train" (script by DR Popescu, artistic direction: Lucian Bratu), a role for which she was praised by film critics.
At the State Theatre of Oradea she made her debut in three small roles (The Bear, A Gypsy and A Villager) in the show "Snoave cu măşti", directed by Ion Lucian. Approached differently, the actress gave the three characters personality and humor. In the role of Hélène in the show "The Florentine Hat" by Eugène Labiche - guided by the excellent pedagogical director Zoe Anghel Stanca, she was funny, the youth and exuberance of the young woman being close to her. "A fine filigree figurine, fragile, with almond eyes and a voice like a spring's murmur" - wrote about her the teacher-dramatist Eugen Groza. The measure of a native talent, but of a continuous concern for "stage attire" and for professional development, she gave her the role of Daniela in the admirable show signed by Sergiu Savin: "The Fan House". The chroniclers praised her alongside her more experienced colleagues: Ion Mâinea, Ion Abrudan, Eugen Harizomenov, Eugen Ţugulea, Alla Tăutu, Anca Miere Chirilă, Mariana Neagu, Emil Sauciuc. She was also an important player in the stylistic "polyphony" of this remarkable show with Marin Sorescu's play (in its absolute premiere).
