"The Lovers from Ancona" is a comedy of situations, in which nothing that seems obvious is real. The play is actually a musical comedy, the songs being chosen from the repertoire of the '60s, '70s. All the heroes know how to sing, proving once again, if ever there was a case, that Italians are romantic and passionate.

The action takes place in the small Italian town of Ancona, in an old square, where the close proximity of the houses and the volcanic Latin blood make it impossible to keep secrets. The most important man in the town is the wealthy Tomao Nicomaco, a widowed Don Juan in his last youth.
