Queen Marie Theater Oradea

Ensemble actor

Date and place of birth: 11.06.1950, Fălticeni

The young Marlena Prigoreanu came to Oradea in 1971. With an attractive physique and good diction, she entered, through a competition, the State Theatre of Oradea. She played, in the show of director Nicoleta Toia, a major artistic role (they were the girls from the Court of Stephen the Great, the companions of Lady Maria - Marlena was Bălaşa) in the show "Apus de soare" by B.Şt.Delavrancea. She was entrusted with a small role (a guest at a cocktail party) in the show "Omul care..." by Horia Lovinescu. Demonstrating talent and seriousness, she then played two important roles - the characters being young girls - in the show "Procesul Adam şi Eva" by Rudi Strahl and "Unchiul nostru din Jamaica" by Dan Tărchilă. In 1973, through a competition, she entered the Puppet Theater (now the "Arcadia" Children and Youth Theater) in Oradea, and became one of the institution's main actresses, where she played dozens and dozens of leading roles with exemplary dedication and talent, until her retirement (acting in shows and being retired).
