Queen Marie Theater Oradea

Actress Date and place of birth: 10.05.1976

Studies: University of Theatre Arts Târgu Mureş, 1998

Delia Martin made her debut at the State Theatre of Oradea in the year she graduated from the Faculty of Theatre in Târgu Mureş. Cute, beautiful, with a pleasant voice, the actress managed to play, in a single season, two consistent roles, which she coped with brilliantly. In a happy tandem with Mariana Vasile (Donnişoara Cucu), she managed to create a sympathetic character in the role of Eleva Zamfirescu, emphasizing both the naivety and the nagging curiosity of the teenager. Unfortunately, the show ("The Nameless Star" by Mihail Sebastian) was mediocre, although the cast did not lack several leading actors of the theatre.

In Jean Genet's "The Maids" – also an average performance – Delia Martin painstakingly, but not with enough directorial guidance, constructed the difficult role of one of the two maid sisters: Solange. She played it with emotion and conviction, intelligently complementing the energetic performance of Paula Chirilă (her sister, Claire).

In the small role of an Athenian in the play "The Assembly of Women" by Aristophanes, in the absence of a director, Delia Martin could not really highlight her talent. Instead, she managed to participate in a small poetry performance (organized at the Kiss Studio in Oradea), on the occasion of the launch of the poetry volume signed by Ştefan Zicher. She read beautifully and with sensitivity.
