Taking the title of a poem by Adrian Păunescu, the tribute show "Longing for Eminescu" was constituted as an anthology of the poet's masterpieces, most of them antonymous, outlining, as Viorel Horj observes, "Eminescu's Neptunian face". "The primacy of the calm, consolidated value of the text also imposed the elegant note of the utterance in an ambiance of a true poetry salon. In order to "open" the recital and give it a spectacular addition, the director proceeded with several "insertions" consisting of the lyrical appreciation of contemporaries and two voices from the golden phonoteca: Sadoveanu and Vraca". ("Crișana" of February 17, 1988).
