One evening, a young woman named Josiane Desrumaux unexpectedly appears in the apartment of Dr. Benjamin Bertholin. Asserting the false identity of a former patient of the doctor, she moves into his house, forcing him to take her in through blackmail. She overturns the order and habits of the doctor, who is passionate about Mozart and chess, and who rejects any idea of family, responsibility or constant relationships.
The spectacular reversal of the situation occurs after a period of living together, when the girl's true identity is revealed. A play about taking responsibility for one's actions, about the harmony and difficulties of life with those close to them, and about making up for lost time.
