Lying is within everyone's reach, but only a few manage to turn the process of falsifying the truth into a science. The ability to make the other person fall into the carefully woven net of carefully chosen statements and charming behavior can truly become an art.

The adulterous relationship between Jean François, a film director, and his mistress, Nathalie, is about to be discovered by his wife, and the efforts the two lovers make to create the image of a situation that will not arouse suspicion go beyond the limits of normal. Jean François is forced to put his directorial skills into practice and create a space suitable for the falsification of the truth.
