Chilimoţ goes into the forest opens the series of performances directed by the Bucharest actress Maria Vasilescu, who has dedicated several years to puppet theater.

"The State Puppet Theater opened its theatrical season on October 5th.

For several weeks, the troupe of artists has been carrying out intensive preparations to appear in front of the children with a carefully composed program. Alongside the Hungarian section, the Romanian section was established at the Puppet Theatre, which will present the opening show of the season on October 22. From morning to evening, they work diligently. Rehearsals in two languages, technical work, making puppets, costumes for puppets, and props.

The Puppet Theatre has evolved recently. Two members of the troupe – Ilona Földesi and Magda Máthé – participated in a thirty-day specialization course. […] The repertoire project for this year’s season was drawn up in such a way as to meet the requirements of children in kindergartens and schools, as well as adults. […]”
