August with THEATRE FOR ALL
The Regina Maria Theater includes in its August program, in addition to the performances that are part of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe's repertoire, related events and independent theater performances supported by the Artemotion Theater and the FITO Foundation, as part of the project THEATRE FOR ALL.
The first event we invite you to is the book launch DELICIOUS GREETING. THE DEPARTURE OF THE PANDEMIC IN 33 SONGS, which will take place on August 7, from 6:00 PM, in the Oradea Citadel. 69 artists contributed to the creation of this unique book, who want to convey the fact that any difficulty, be it a pandemic, is overcome through adaptation: play, dialogue, creativity and, above all, through the courage to move forward. The soundtrack of the event will be performed live by the musical project "Corbu", initiated and coordinated by Sergiu Corbu Boldor and Luiza Matilda Mitu. Access to the event is free!
Also in August 7, from 8:00 PM, in the Oradea Citadel the Artemotion Theater show will take place, Trash, directed by Sebastian Lupu. The cast includes actors Richard Balint, Sebastian Lupu and Mirela Niță-Lupu, in three exceptional roles, through which they managed to conquer the audience since the premiere of this provocative and humorous show. Do you think that a "simple" garbage collector can turn your life upside down? Do you know how many interesting things can be learned about a person simply by rummaging through their household garbage? After this show you will think twice before throwing away something that can compromise your... image.
Friday, August 21, from 8:00 PM, on the mobile stage in the Oradea Citadel, FITO Foundation presents the comedy DO YOU LOVE? YOU PAY!, artistic direction Denisa Vlad.
You will have the opportunity to meet the actors Corina Cernea, Denisa Vlad and Sorin Ionescu in a delicious comedy. "The comedy show starts with an extreme shopping act, the passion of a young mistress for another woman's husband goes so far that the wife receives a financial offer to free the prisoner from the marriage. You will see that the territory of marital humor has not been completely exhausted, and the direction in which the hostilities evolve demonstrates this." – Lucian Cremeneanu
In another week, Friday, August 28, from 8:00 PM, on the mobile stage in the Oradea Citadel we have a new comedy – TANȚA ȘI COSTEL, directed by Sebastian Lupu.
The story is simple, of course: 2 strangers Tanta (Mirela Nita-Lupu) and skinny (Petre Ghimbășan), they strike up a conversation at the train station, they make wedding plans very "elegantly", they are all beautiful, he is traveling, then we see them at the ceremony (when they make plans about their life together, and obviously she needs the best possible "horizon"), then years later, at home, with marital arguments, or at the hospital ("Tell me the truth, one of us will die tonight, and I don't want to remain a widow") or even at the theater ("Take me to the theater, Costele, because I want to laugh!"). The couple Tanța and Costel represent the perfect embodiment of blasé and decent spouses, whose lives have failed in formalities, habits and conveniences.
„"THEATRE FOR ALL is a project that aims to create a partnership between the Iosif Vulcan Troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre and cultural associations and foundations, producers of independent theatre shows. Starting from the current situation marked by the pandemic generated by the COVID-19 virus, taking into account the fact that all cultural events are held exclusively outdoors, for the summer period, respectively for the months of August and September, I proposed to introduce into the troupe's monthly programme of performances, several independent theatre shows, concerts, exhibitions, book launches and meetings of artists with the audience. We dedicated the month of August to comedy and we set out to delight you with three shows, where the mask will not be able to protect you from the virus of comedy and good mood.
I believe that this project meets several needs:
– Provides a playing space for independent performances
– Completes the theater's summer show offer
– Creates the possibility of audience growth for both theater and independent companies
– It lays the foundation for a type of partnership that, if it proves profitable, could become a model for future seasons.” – Balint Bocskai Victoria, Temporary Director of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe
Tickets are already available and can be purchased online at Eventim.ro. We remind you that these can also be purchased on site starting one hour before the events, within the limit of available seats. The price of a ticket is 25 lei.
