AWARDS FOR THE QUEEN MARIA THEATRE

Between October 8-14, the Regina Maria Theater participated in three prestigious festivals that took place in different cities in Romania, such as: the National Comedy Festival of the "Fani Tardini" Dramatic Theater in Galaţi, "Fest(in) pe Bulevard" of the Nottara Theater in Bucharest and "Pledez pentru tine(ri)" of the Tineretului Theater in Piatra Neamţ.

We returned from the National Comedy Festival of the Dramatic Theatre "Fani Tardini" in Galati crowned with laurels. The winners were announced on Friday, October 16, after 12 days of the festival, and the show LEONCE AND LENA was awarded two important prizes and two nominations, including the prize for Best Show and the Audience Award, which once again confirms the success of the show both among theater people and the general public.

The beloved comedy of the Oradea theater was also nominated for the best set design, created by the exceptional set designer Adrian Damian, and in the Best Actor in a Leading Role category, the talented actor Richard Balint was nominated for the character Valerio.

The jury was made up of acclaimed actors Marius Bodochi and Olga Delia Mateescu, set designer Clara Lobonţ and director Attila Vizauer from Galaţi, editor-in-chief at the National Radiofonic Theatre – Radio Romania Cultural and chaired by the well-known theater critic Ion Parhon.

to The Fest(in) on the Boulevard International Theater Festival, now in its third edition, The Regina Maria Theatre was invited to participate with the show CHEIA, a text by András Forgách, under the stage direction of Victor Ioan Frunză, which was a real success with the public. The show was performed outside the competition and was part of the section Language crisis - The language of crisis.

The "Pledez pentru tineri" festival has not yet come to an end. The last day of the festival will be on October 22, but until then we are holding our breath, because THE RITUAL MURDER OF GORGE MASTROMAS was selected by the theater critic Oltiţia Cîntec to participate in the competition section of the festival. The jury this year is made up of Maria Zărnescu (president) – theater scholar, theater critic, assoc. prof. dr. UNATC Bucharest, Alina Herescu – set designer and Szabó K. István – theater director, who will award the following prizes: THE AWARD FOR THE BEST SHOW, THE AWARD FOR THE BEST DIRECTION, THE AWARD FOR THE BEST SET DESIGN, THE AWARD FOR THE BEST ACTOR, THE AWARD FOR THE BEST ACTRESS. We hope that the show directed by Bobi Pricop will win as many awards as possible, thus becoming a source of pride not only for the people of Oradea, but also for the city of Piatra Neamţ, where the director was born. It is certain that the vehemence of the applause confirms the excellent reception the show enjoyed among the audience.

Congratulations to everyone!
