CHILDREN'S SATURDAY AT THEATRE – NOVEMBER 2, 2013!

Dear parents and children,

The Iosif Vulcan Theater Troupe and the Arcadia Troupe invite you to spend a Saturday of stories dedicated to children with us! In the Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theater, one of the most famous and beloved stories by children, "The Wizard of Oz", will be performed on Saturday, November 2, at 11 am, and from 5 pm, in the Arcadia Hall, the Arcadia Troupe invites you to the show "Hänsel and Gretel".

The adventures of Dorothy – a little girl from Kansas, thrown by a tornado to unknown lands – are famous throughout the world, having known numerous dramatizations and screen adaptations. Although more than 100 years have passed since the release of this book, children all over the world are still fascinated by the wonderful world of Oz. The magical charge of the story is transposed onto the stage by director Dan Mirea. The fantastic decor, costumes, music and the interpretation of the actors Alina Leonte, Anca Sigmirean, Mirela Lupu, Emil Sauciuc, Andrian Locovei, Sebastian Lupu, George Voinese are the ingredients of a successful children's show.

The action of the fairy tale Hänsel and Gretel is familiar to everyone, regardless of age. The expressive play of the large and plastic puppets is complemented by the presence, state and acting of the puppeteers. The action, often interactive with children, as well as the text, which brings freshness and allows for improvisation, prevent the minimization of a classic and well-known story. The show directed by András Szőke Kavinszki is a demanding work of creation, whose scenography is made by Csűri Emese to the music performed by the Crişana Professional Artistic Ensemble Orchestra and with the cast consisting of Florian Silaghi, Ioana Dagău, Florin Stan, Alexandru Pop, all work together to offer a pleasant show to the puppet theater audience of all ages.

Tickets can be purchased from the Regina Maria Theatre ticket agency from Monday to Friday between 10 am and 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday between 10 am and 1 pm, one hour before each show, but also online: www.biletmaster.ro.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
