Festivals of the Iosif Vulcan Band

Two of the most recent performances by the Iosif Vulcan band, "FAD (Noduri şi placi)” and „The Art of Adultery”, along with the Regina Maria Theatre’s hit shows, „Scripcarul pe Acoperiş” and „Leonce şi Lena”, will delight audiences across the country in May and June.

Thus, the Iosif Vulcan Troupe honors the invitation to participate in no less than four festivals, two of which are international. In addition, the Oradea actors come to welcome the audience in Bistriţa and Zalău, where they will play on the road.

The festival journey is opened by the Iosif Vulcan troupe this weekend, with the show "Leonce and Lena". The Regina Maria Theatre musical is an adaptation of a text by Georg Büchner, directed by Mihai Măniuţiu in collaboration with Ada Milea, actress Anca Hanu and choreographer Vava Ştefănescu in the 2013-2014 season and has enjoyed success since its premiere. This time, the show will be performed in Deva, within the first edition of the theatrical art festival, called "Deva Performing Arts Festival" at the Indoor section, on Sunday, May 13.

The next festival to which the actors of the Iosif Vulcan troupe have been invited is the International New Theatre Festival in Arad. One of the most recent performances of the Regina Maria Theatre, „FAD (Noduri și plăci)” will be performed on May 18. The performance was staged by director Horia Suru at the Oradea theatre in a national premiere and is based on a contemporary play by the British writer Nicola Wilson, which deals with a sensitive subject: the familial Alzheimer’s disease gene.

On May 29 and May 30, it is the turn of the actors from the cast of the show "The Art of Adultery" to honor the meeting with the audience in Bistriţa and Zalău. "The Art of Adultery", by Pierre Chesnot, directed by Daniel Vulcu is a sparkling comedy whose premiere, at the end of April, enjoyed a great success among the audience.

In June, the show "FAD (Nods and Plates)" will be present at the International Atelier Theater Festival in Baia Mare, the Oradea performance being scheduled for June 2.

Last but not least, between June 20-23, the most appreciated show of the Regina Maria Theatre, both among the critics and the public, "The Fiddler on the Roof" (a musical by Joseph Stein based on the stories of Shalom Alecheim, directed by

Korcsmáros György), will be present at the Citadel Myths Festival in Constanta. The show will be performed on June 21, on the stage of the State Theater.
