AJUN EVENING – SUCCESS IN TURKEY!
The first performance took place on March 24, at 8:00 PM, and the second on March 25, at the same time. The audience kept their enthusiasm alive on both evenings, filling the theater hall with incessant applause. The story of the elf who landed in a warehouse of stolen toys and managed to stir up a whole controversy regarding his (possibly) miraculous identity, fully captivated the curious spectators to see as many forms and themes of contemporary theater as possible, so that the show was played to a full house each time.
On Saturday, March 26, the theater delegation was invited to participate in an organized tour of the city of Bursa, where they were able to visit important tourist attractions in the area, such as the Sultan Murad II Complex, the Ataturk Museum, the Great Mosque of Bursa, the Silk Bazaar and a village on the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Cumalikizik, where they could admire houses over 300 years old.
Upon returning to the country, the general manager of the Regina Maria Theater, Daniel Vulcu, stated that "the organization was perfect, we were welcomed with great hospitality, and the audience was warm, knowledgeable, and thoroughly enjoyed the theater. I only hope that festivals in Romania will soon reach such an advanced level of organization."„
For actor Răzvan Vicoveanu, who plays the role of Gary, "it was an interesting experience, both artistically and culturally. We enjoyed a warm welcome, excellent conditions and full halls, a very important aspect for an actor."„
This year's participants included artists from countries such as Turkey, Macedonia, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania.
The participation of the Regina Maria Theatre at the "International Balkan Countries Festival" in Bursa - Turkey was made possible with the support provided by the Romanian Cultural Institute, within the project "Two Romanian theatres at the International Balkan Countries Theatre Festival in Bursa - 3rd edition", proposed by the ICR Istanbul.
The show "Seara de Ajun" by Anthony Neilson was directed in Oradea by Ovidiu Caiţa and boasts the scenographic signature of Oana Cernea. The success he enjoys from both the public and the specialized critics is recorded by the nominations he received at the countless festivals he participated in, among which we mention the nomination for BEST ACTOR – RĂZVAN VICOVEANU – Short Theatre Festival, 21st edition (Oradea International Theatre Festival, 3rd edition) – Oradea, September 2015, the nomination for BEST ACTRESS – MIHAELA GHERDAN – Short Theatre Festival, 21st edition (Oradea International Theatre Festival, 3rd edition) – Oradea, September 2015, the nomination for BEST DIRECTOR – OVIDIU CAIȚA – Short Theatre Festival, 21st edition (Oradea International Theatre Festival, 3rd edition) – Oradea, September 2015, the nomination for the GRAND PRIZE OF THE FESTIVAL – International Festival of Studio Theatres, 19th edition – „Al.
