Happy birthday to actress Denisa Vlad

Today is the birthday of our colleague, Denisa Vlad!

On the eve of her birthday, Denisa confesses that of all the passions and hobbies she has had so far, theater has remained the strongest attraction. A passion that has turned into a profession. She was also attracted to motorcycling, but remained at the beginner stage, after the association she had joined closed. „"I only practiced motorcycling for about two years. I had joined a motorcycle club whose members were very special people. I traveled with them and felt safe, as a beginner, because I was flanked when I set off on the road"”, says the actress. „"Motorcycling gave me a feeling of freedom and, at the same time, a feeling of strength. In general, I feel attracted to activities through which we demonstrate that we, women, are somehow equal to men"”, Denisa explained.

As I was saying, however, in the beginning, Denisa's greatest passion was and remains theater.. "I realized I was drawn to this profession in high school. I saw the show jays and I told my mother that I wanted to become an actress,” says Denisa. „In Craiova, the city where I was born, admissions were only given every two years at that time. And the year I graduated from high school there was a break. So that I wouldn’t have to stay at home for a year, I applied to Communication, Literature and Law. I got into all three, in the first 12.”, the actress recalls. „"When you do what you love, you'll be the first, my father told me. And he was right. The following year I entered the theater, the first. I didn't do any preparation, I prepared the moments myself and my only spectator was my mother, who cried during one of the monologues. That's when I knew I had a chance"”, Denisa recalls.

She first arrived in Oradea by chance. She liked the city and Sorin Ionescu, the actor who would become her life partner. That's how, in 2008, Denisa joined the Iosif Vulcan Troupe. She doesn't have a favorite role and no weakness for a particular register. „"I love what I do, my joy is to be on stage, it doesn't matter what I play. I want the audience to come to the theater in large numbers. That way, we, the actors, have the satisfaction of having managed to give something away."”, Denisa also said.

Happy birthday, Denise!
