June program at the Regina Maria Theater
June brings touching stories, comedies and musicals to the Regina Maria Theatre stage, for adults and children alike. The program includes the most recent premieres of the two companies, shows from past seasons that are returning to the stage, as well as guest performances and related events.
IOSIF VULCAN TROPE
The start is on June 1st, when the little ones enter the enchanted realm of the show for free. THE WIZARD OF OZ. The story of Dorothea and her friends opens the theater curtain this month, with vivid sets and songs that transform the hall into a participatory fairy tale.
On June 5th, we invite viewers over the age of 12 to A VERY SIMPLE STORY, which is being rerun at the Great Hall ten years after the premiere that conquered the audience with the candor and humor of a family with humans and animals. The reunion is an opportunity to rediscover the charm of a title that has already become a classic for Oradea viewers.
Next, performances will take place in the Great Hall CYRANO DE BERGERAC (June 10) — a declaration of poetic courage, RICHARD III (June 13) — the vortex of absolute power, and comedy CACTUS FLOWER (June 20), and on June 23, the famous musical THE FIDDLER ON THE ROOF brings Jewish traditions and Tevye's humor to the stage accompanied by a live orchestra.
The performances take place at the Transilvania Hall HOPE NEVER GOES UP IN THE ELEVATOR (June 21), ELIF AND THE RAIN (June 24), the production that brought director Alex Ianăși the UNITER Award for debut this year and the dramedy ACCUSATIVE GENDER (June 25).
At the end of the month, the Great Hall is reserved for a special event: SIBERIAN FILES (June 27), the production of the National Theater "Mihai Eminescu" Chisinau, which stops in Oradea as part of the Memory Tour, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Romania. The show addresses the theme of mass deportations of the civilian population by the Soviet regime and the fate of political prisoners in the GULAG and comes as a warning about the danger of perpetuating the "iron fist" policy and as a cure against nostalgia for the totalitarian regime.
ARCADIA TRUMPET
On Saturday, June 14, from 11 am, children are invited to the show A SUNRAY, the story of an unexpected friendship between a delicate porcelain ballerina and a curious mouse, and on Saturday, June 21, at 11 a.m., children are encouraged to explore the world with APOLLODOR, THE TRAVELING PENGUIN.
