THE MAN – FIRST PREMIERE OF THE 2016 – 2017 SEASON

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre invites you on Sunday, September 11, from 11:00, to the Arcadia Studio Hall, to watch the premiere of the show OMULEŢ, by Petro Ionescu, directed by Delia Gavliţchi, a show dedicated to children aged between 2 and 7. The little spectators will have a wonderful experience, in which they will be able to enjoy the magical world that will be created around them, but also an absolutely unique way to learn the elements of the human body.

THE MAN is a mischievous and curious little boy who, after a hard fall, manages to lose all his body parts. His little legs, his little hands, his little eyes, his little ears, his mouth, and even his ever-hungry belly hide awkwardly in the forest and start to hold on to their tails, only to disobey the command to reunite. His little legs walk briskly, his little mouth is never silent, his little eyes run after butterflies, his little nose sniffs the scents of the forest, his little ears listen curiously, each one does what he has always known how to do, but wandering aimlessly and alone here and there. However, for a LITTLE MAN to be whole, every part of his body is needed, so after running unhindered through the forest, they return to give the little boy all the senses a man needs.

This play that the show proposes has a double formative purpose, because it not only opens the gates of the theatrical universe to such a young audience, but also teaches them, through art, what the parts of the human body are, what each one is called and what feeling characterizes it. Children will thus have a sensory educational journey, and parents will have the opportunity to assist them in the process of familiarizing themselves with the elements of the theater space (audience, lights, sounds, closed space) in a delicate, gentle and patient atmosphere.

The show's director, Delia Gavliţchi, addresses parents directly and encourages them to walk alongside their children in this important process of knowledge and self-discovery.

"Dear Father,

Your child is already a different individual, a different body from yours, a personality already developing. Body awareness is the first step towards self-awareness. The human body is a reflection of the self. It is very important that the little one next to you becomes aware of his own body correctly and in time. Once he understands that he owns and controls a pair of little hands, two little legs, a nose, a little mouth and two little eyes, he will want to use them. He will explore the possibilities offered by these and thus for the first time he will manage to "speak" to you. Nonverbal language will become his first way of communication. We all want him to express himself as quickly as possible, don't we?

Once the child is aware of his own body, he will experiment, he will play with his new discoveries. Thus the little human cub will develop his inventiveness, creativity, motor skills and especially self-confidence. A child with a well-integrated body scheme will move harmoniously, will have safe and firm movements, will be able to carry his body with grace and ease, orienting himself in space and time in the environment around him, relating to himself. «Mommy and Daddy! this is my body and look how many wonderful things I can do with it!»

With love, Delia Gavliţchi"

The cast of the show includes the following actors: Armanca Serac, Alex Pop, Andrei Fazecaş, Igor Lungu, Florian Silaghi.

The show OMULEŢ continues the series of events dedicated to the youngest spectators supported by the Arcadia Troupe. They meet the requirements of the partnership Mentoring in the field Early Education, concluded with the Ion Creangă Theatre, activity included in the multiannual European project "Small Size, Performing Arts for Early Years". The activity of mentoring proposes a program addressed to children between the ages of 0 and 6 and aims to captivate and offer young spectators the opportunity to enter the playful world of theater through play, starting from the principle that there is no age for art.

Tickets are on sale at the Theatre Ticket Agency from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00. You can also purchase tickets one hour before each performance at the Arcadia Theatre or online at www.biletmaster.roFor additional information and ticket reservations, please call: 0259/440.742.

We are waiting for you at the theater!
