The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater is preparing to welcome the winter holidays with a new premiere and a series of workshops for the whole family!

The Arcadia troupe announces the second premiere of the 2024/2025 season, "The Selfish Giant" based on the story by Oscar Wilde, directed by Ciprian Huțanu, which will be performed on Saturday, December 14, in two performances, at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater is preparing for the 3rd edition of the "Tales from Arcadia" Week, which will take place from April 20-27, 2024. The program, as every year, proposes an entertaining marathon of theater performances from the troupe's repertoire, the famous pajama story nights, a painting exhibition, which has nature as its theme, and art therapy workshops.

The Arcadia Troupe team of the Regina Maria Theater is preparing for a new premiere: "The Curious Elephant" by Nina Cassian, adapted and directed by Iulian Bulancea, which will take place Sunday, April 14, from 11:00 a.m., at the Arcadia Hall.

"The Curious Elephant" is a funny text, inspired by the story "The Elephant's Baby" by Rudyard Kipling. The main character of the story is a baby elephant, from the time when elephants did not yet have trunks, who wants to discover the world. So he asks a lot of questions to the animals around him, but they become annoyed by his insistence and end up avoiding him. But the baby elephant does not give up and when the curiosity arises in his mind to find out what the crocodile eats for dinner, he sets off on a real adventure to find the answer.

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre performed, at the end of February, the show "Hansel and Gretel", directed by András Szőke Kavinszki, in Beiuș and Budureasa.

At the beginning of March, for three days, the actors of the Arcadia Troupe participated in a large and applied workshop on the Bunraku-type articulated puppet, held by Prof. Univ. Dr. Ciprian Huțanu, one of the most appreciated contemporary Romanian puppet artists.

Between February 29 and March 2, the Arcadia Theater became a space for innovation, creativity and development. During the workshop "Decomposition of stage movement through animated objects", puppeteers perfected their known techniques, but also acquired new handling skills, under the careful coordination of Ciprian Huțanu, who returns to Oradea after creating a successful project on the Arcadia Hall stage, the show "The Bremen Town Musicians".

"Christmas in the Land of Puppets" is a thematic event organized by the Arcadia Troupe of the Regina Maria Theater, which reached its second edition this year and will take place between December 12-18, 2023. Continuing the tradition of the first edition, children will be able to spend precious time with their parents, teachers, friends, enjoying meeting the most beautiful fairy-tale characters, entertaining and educational activities, all in an enchanting holiday setting.

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre is preparing for the premiere of the show "The Bremen Town Musicians", an adaptation of the Brothers Grimm, directed by Ciprian Huțanu. The premiere will take place on Sunday, October 8, at 11:00 AM, at the Arcadia Hall.

Teatrul Arcadia găzduiește în aceste zile expoziția de postere Fii curajos, nu îi lăsa în mintea ta!, dedicată copiilor care s-au confruntat de-a lungul timpului cu situații de bullying. Expoziția este rezultatul muncii a șase elevi de la diferite școli orădene, care au participat în această vară la activitățile „Mesagerii antibullying” organizate de psihologul Ioana Drugaș în cadrul Drugas Club.

The "Tales from Arcadia" week is an invitation to a fantastic journey, where childhood stories come to life on stage and can be revisited by children and adults alike, from this new, animated and joyful perspective of theater. The program includes some of the most beloved theater performances from the company's repertoire, as well as interactive, educational and entertaining events, designed to delight young spectators.

Trupa Arcadia a Teatrului Regina Maria anunță o nouă premieră a stagiunii 2022-2023: „Doctorul Aumădoare”, adaptare după Kornei Ciukovski, în regia lui Iulian Bulancea, care va avea loc duminică, 5 martie, de la ora 11:00, la Sala Arcadia.

Textul pe care se bazează spectacolul Trupei Arcadia este inspirat din celebra carte a lui Kornei Ciukovski, unul dintre cei mai populari poeți ruși care a scris pentru copii. Datorită personajelor sale captivante și rimelor inventive a fost comparat cu autorul american pentru copii Dr. Seuss.

„Doctorul Aumădoare” face parte dintre cele mai cunoscute și îndrăgite povești pentru copii din literatura rusă, fiind tradusă și în alte limbi. Povestea plină de aventuri a Doctorului Aumădoare, care pleacă într-o lungă și senzațională călătorie până în Africa pentru a salva animalele bolnave, transmite celor mici importanța prieteniei, iubirii și respectului față de animale.

Dramatizarea, adaptarea și regia spectacolului sunt realizate de către Iulian Bulancea – care se află la cea de-a doua colaborare cu Trupa Arcadia, după ce a montat „Crăiasa Zăpezii și oglinda fermecată” – astfel încât acțiunea să conțină elemente potrivite culturii și vremurilor noastre. Iulian Bulancea reușește, atât prin fragmentele alese, cât și prin viziunea regizorală, să construiască o poveste dinamică, veselă și captivantă, în care personajele jucăușe și pline de energie vor stârni curiozitatea și admirația micilor spectatori.  

În echipa de creație îl regăsim și pe Dorin Griguță, care realizează cântecele și pe Răzvan Chendrean, în calitate de scenograf, butafor și pictor. Din distribuția spectacolului fac parte actorii: Florian Silaghi, Alexandru Pop, Armanca Serac, Igor Lungu, Andrei Fazecaș, Carina Bunea, David Constantinescu și Consuela Egyed.

Spectacolul este recomandat copiilor care au vârsta peste 4 ani.

Premiera este deja sold out. A doua reprezentație este programată în data de 11 martie, de la ora 11:00, la Sala Arcadia, iar biletele pot fi achiziționate de la agenția teatrului, deschisă marți și joi între orele 12:00-18:00, miercuri și vineri între orele 10:00-14:00 și sâmbătă între orele 11:00-13:00, online pe Eventim.ro sau cu o oră înainte de spectacol de la Teatrul Arcadia (în limita locurilor disponibile).

A remake, guest performances, storytelling workshops, carols and decorations, meetings with Santa Claus will complete the festival program and create a magical atmosphere.

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater announces a new premiere of the 2022-2023 season: "The Three Little Pigs", an adaptation of Walt Disney, directed by Daniel Vulcu, which will take place on Sunday, October 23, at 11:00 AM, at the Arcadia Hall.

"The Three Little Pigs" is one of the stories that has long opened children's interest in literature and the world of books. Over time, it has known several variations, but the main idea has remained similar: three little pigs, pursued by a greedy wolf, each build a little house to protect themselves. The older little pigs, somewhat lazy and comfortable by nature, build shaky constructions, which the wolf knocks down without much effort, while the younger one, industrious and thoughtful by nature, builds a solid house, which the big and bad wolf does not even manage to shake.

Like every immortal fairy tale, the importance of the story lies primarily in the message it conveys to children, namely that in life we cannot always act according to the pleasure principle, as the two older pigs do, but we must build a solid foundation to be able to face the dangers that may arise, like the little pig. It can also be seen as an allegory of the fact that all children grow up and must make their own choices, which can be bad or good.

A new premiere for early age at the Arcadia Band

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater announces a new premiere for the youngest spectators: "Norr in the World of Colors", which will take place on Saturday, October 1, from 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, at the Arcadia Small Hall.

The show is a concept signed by actor Florian Silaghi, dedicated to children between the ages of 0 and 3, which uses sensory stimulation elements: colors, visual effects, calibrated music, shadow plays, lights and colorful images, with the aim of accustoming the little ones to the spectacular world of theater. With the help of these elements, which may seem simple at first glance, enchanting moments are created, which will gently captivate the attention of the little spectators, thus increasing the level of receptivity and adaptability to new environments. The main character of the show is the unicorn Norr, who will be a charming guide, for 40 minutes, in a laboratory world, full of color and magical mirrors.

A pilot project in Romania – "Contemporary Theatre in Classrooms" 

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater joined the project "Contemporary Theatre in Classrooms", launched by the Romanian Association for the Promotion of Performing Arts (ARPAS), in collaboration with Goethe-Institut Bucharest and with the agency Henschel from Berlin, co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.

O săptămână de povești din Arcadia

Teatrul Regina Maria vă invită în perioada 15-22 mai 2022 la Săptămâna „Povești din Arcadia”, un eveniment complex, organizat de către Trupa Arcadia, care va cuprinde câteva dintre cele mai iubite spectacole de teatru din repertoriul trupei, dar și evenimente conexe menite să-i încânte pe micii spectatori.

Săptămâna „Povești din Arcadia” este o invitație într-o călătorie fantastică, în care poveștile copilăriei prind viață pe scenă și pot fi revizitate de către copii și adulți deopotrivă, din această nouă perspectivă, animată și veselă, a teatrului.
