The Regina Maria Theater will participate between March 22 and 28 at the third edition of the "Bursa International Balkan Countries Theater Festival", which will take place in the city of Bursa, Turkey, between March 8 and 27, with the show "„"Eve Eve", which has already managed to record extraordinary success at countless festivals across the country.

„The "International Balkan Festival" is an annual event, which takes place in the first month of spring and manages to bring theater companies from the entire Balkan region to the stage, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey. The fundamental objectives on which the entire endeavor is based are to strengthen ties between the countries, develop cultural peace, raise theater art to the same level as the economic progress of the city of Bursa and present contemporary theater to the people of the region.

„"THE EVENING OF AJUN", a contemporary text by Anthony Neilson, directed in Oradea by Ovidiu Caiţa, will delight the Turkish audience, on the stage of the Regional Theatre in Bursa in two festival evenings, both on 24 and 25 March 2016. The show is a tragicomedy that, starting from the pretext of some commercial clichés related to the Christmas holiday: gifts, toys, elves, lights, magic dust, wishes, raises the issue of a reality that transcends the apparent magic of the holiday, namely that of disillusioned people, who are on the verge of completely losing hope and the desire to fight for their dreams. In such a reality, Christmas is emptied of its magical essence and retains only its commercial form.

The appearance of a (possible) elf sparks a whole controversy, with the conflict revolving around the uncertainty of the identity of this miraculous intruder. On the other hand, the question arises whether the three people - the owner of a stolen toy warehouse Gary, his skeptical friend Simon and the prostitute Cherry - will regain their hope for a better life.

The cast includes the following actors: Răzvan Vicoveanu, Alin Stanciu, Andrei Sabău and Mihaela Gherdan, and the set design is by Oana Cernea.

The Iosif Vulcan troupe of the Oradea theater is participating for the first time at the "International Festival of the Balkan Countries" in Bursa, but not at the first festival organized by a Turkish country, because in 2007 it was invited to the International Black Sea Theater Festival, organized in the city of Trabzon, with the performance "Salon no. 6", by AP Chekhov, artistic direction by Petru Vutcărău.

The Regina Maria Theatre's trip to the "International Balkan Countries Festival" in Bursa - Turkey is being carried out with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute, within the project "Two Romanian theatres at the International Balkan Countries Theatre Festival in Bursa - 3rd edition", proposed by the ICR Istanbul.
