PRESS RELEASE | Romanian Language Day celebrated through a cultural journey
The Regina Maria Theater, with the support of the Bihor County Council, in partnership with the Bihor County School Inspectorate and the Criș Land Museum, is organizing the cultural event "Gustar's 31st - Romanian Language Day" on Sunday, August 31, from 6:00 PM, in the Conference Hall of the Criș Land Museum.
Romanian Language Day is celebrated every year on August 31, being established by Law 53/2013.
The event is dedicated to the Romanian language as a symbol of identity and cultural diversity, illustrating its journey from the first preserved writings to contemporary literature. The audience is invited to enjoy a selection of representative texts, fragments of theater, poetry, prose, letters, which highlight the beauty and evolution of the Romanian language, marked by cultural influences, but preserving tradition and authenticity.
The event will be opened by the special guest, prof. univ. dr. habil. Florin Cioban, from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Oradea and collaborator of the Romanian Language Institute in Bucharest. He will give the introductory lecture entitled "On the Romanian language, with respect".
The artistic moment will be supported by the actors of the Regina Maria Theatre: Mirela Niță Lupu, Sebastian Lupu (Omul Oamenilor), Georgia Căprărin, Lucia Rogoz, Anda Tămășanu, Ciprian Ciuciu, George Dometi and Alexandru Rusu. Also, three high school students from Oradea will take the stage, who will provide added freshness and authenticity to the show.
"Gustar's 31st - Romanian Language Day" is an opportunity to reflect on the role of the Romanian language as a bridge between tradition and modernity.
Public access to the event is free, subject to availability.
