REGINA MARIA THEATRE AT FNT 2017 WITH TWO SHOWS

The Regina Maria Theater is pleased to announce that it will participate in the 27th edition of the National Theater Festival with two performances: THE DADA CABARETUL, by Matei Vișniec, directed by Anca Bradu, and THE PIRANDELLO CAFENEAUA, dramatic script by Anca Măniuțiu, based on texts by Luigi Pirandello, directed by Mihai Măniuțiu.

The official selection was announced on July 5 by critic Marina Constantinescu, artistic director and selector of the festival. This year, the theatrical event will take place from October 20 to 30, during which 53 valuable performances from across the country will take to the stage of the theater in Bucharest. We are honored that two of these are from the Regina Maria Theater.

The National Theatre Festival is one of the most important theatrical events in Romania, organized by UNITER, the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Bucharest and the National Theatre "IL Caragiale", in partnership with the Romanian Cultural Institute and financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Identity and the Bucharest City Hall. Since 1990, it has been an extraordinary opportunity for cultural encounters and the valorization of theatrical projects from the entire Romanian cultural landscape. The festival is held annually and is not competitive, and in recent years it has also added an international component.

Congratulations to the Oradea theater and the teams that brought the two shows to life!

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
