REGINA MARIA THEATRE, PARTNER IN THE GIANT EGGS AUCTION
The "Giant Eggs" campaign brings a new ultrasound machine to the Maternity Hospital
„"By giving from the heart, we create a better world." On this principle, the third edition of the Giant Eggs Campaign, held at Lotus Center by the Pro Valoare Foundation, was a real success! People with big hearts were once again with children, for a noble cause, the purchase of a high-performance ultrasound machine for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Oradea County Emergency Clinical Hospital.
The cost of the device, which is to be equipped in the maternity ward, was estimated by manager Gheorghe Carp at 36,000 euros, VAT included. And although at first the goal seemed difficult to achieve, relatives and dear friends understood its necessity and donated amounts, each according to their means, so that their peers could lead a better life.
The Giant Eggs Auction took place on Thursday, in the Lotus Center event hall, and raised no less than 114,000 lei. Of this money, 62,500 lei came from the Giant Eggs auction alone, and 32,000 lei came from the auction of silver objects donated, as every year, from the personal collection of businessman Alexandru Mudura, owner of Lotus Center. 19,500 lei came from sponsorships or amounts donated by various companies or individuals at the end of the auction. Even if the amounts raised did not reach the ceiling necessary to purchase the device, in the end the Lotus Center group of companies will provide the remaining difference, necessary to purchase it.
A total of 15 eggs were made, which were exhibited for several weeks in the shopping center lobby, by artists, public institutions or personalities. The eggs were made of various materials, from fine silks to veils, plastic or construction materials. Of all, the exhibit of the Oradea company Dumexim was the most complex, but also the most coveted, being ultimately purchased for the most money, 11,000 lei, by the Repcon company.
For the success of this campaign, the Crişuri Water Basin Administration, Benvenuti, Athena Jewelry, Water Company, Dumexim, Gina Butiuc, Graziela Models & Elesilva Mobilă Nobilă, Herald Impex, Bihor County Police Inspectorate, Jurnal Bihorean, Oradea Penitentiary, Plaza Nufăru, Selina, Regina Maria Theater and Top Sound put their imagination to the test.
The auction on Thursday was attended, among others, by the manager of the County Hospital, Gheorghe Carp, the Chief of Bihor Police, Chief Commissioner Adrian Bucur, the head of the Crişuri Water Basin Administration, Pasztor Sandor, or the head of Bihor Finance, Ioan Mihaiu.
