REHEARSALS HAVE BEGUN FOR "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!"„

The Regina Maria Theater announces the start of rehearsals for the April premiere of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe: the boulevard comedy HAPPY HOLIDAYS!, by Jean Poiret, directed by Diana Lupescu.

Written in 1980, the play Happy holidays! has already become a classic show of the boulevard theater. Poiret's text became famous through its film adaptation in 1984 with an exceptional cast, among which Jean-Paul Belmondo and Sophie Marceau stand out in the leading roles. On the theater stage, the play has been reprised many times from 1982 to the present with great success, being played including at the Théâtre du Palais Royal in Paris.

„"In the wide range of shows on offer, the boulevard genre is requested by the public out of a desire for relaxation, provided that the show is well-made, without vulgarity," says director Diana Lupescu. "We respected the dramatic structure (which is actually very good), the humorous lines, and the beautiful and complex characters remained identical to those imagined by Jean Poiret." Diana Lupescu starred in this show at the Nottara Theater, staged by Dinu Cernescu in 2002.

The cast includes the following actors: Daniel Vulcu, Denisa Vlad, Corina Cernea, Anca Sigmirean, Mirela Lupu, Ion Ruscuț, Andrei Gliga and Elvira Platon Rîmbu. The sets will be designed by Vioara Bara.

The premiere will take place on Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at the Great Hall, and the next performance will be on Tuesday, April 29. Tickets are already on sale at the Theatre Agency (phone 0259 440 742) and online, on the website www.biletmaster.ro.
