SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION AT THEATERSTOCK BACĂU, FIRST EDITION!

The "Regina Maria" Theater participated with the show "Leonce and Lena" at the first edition of the "Theaterstock" International Performing Arts Festival in Bacău, which took place between August 1-16, 2015.

The musical comedy, applauded for minutes by the Bacău audience, was included in the RythmiCity and OUR STORY sections and was performed outdoors on August 14th on the Decebal Hotel Stage.

The show, an adaptation of a text by Georg Büchner, was directed by Mihai Măniuţiu in collaboration with Ada Milea, actress Anca Hanu and choreographer Vava Ştefănescu in the 2013-2014 season and enjoyed success since its premiere, being invited to prestigious festivals such as: the International New Theatre Festival – Arad in 2014 and the Toma Caragiu Theatre Festival – Directorial meetings – Ploiesti also in the same year.

The success of the show was also noted by the press, which called the Oradea musical comedy "a crazy show. What the artists at the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea did goes beyond a simple musical that puts you in a good mood. It was total madness on stage, with live music, with crazy sets, with a drummer perched somewhere high and some perfect actors... Leonce and Lena is the kind of show that you can take anywhere in the world with to show what beautiful artists we have in this country. It's the show that makes you forget about any problem, throws you into a crazy story and keeps you there for a few dozen minutes."” (Ionut Avram, Political Farm)

Those who delighted the Bacău audience are Richard Balint, Eugen Neag, Alina Leonte, Emil Sauciuc, Daniel Vulcu, Andreea Gabor, Angela Tanko, Mihaela Gherdan, Răzvan Vicoveanu, Pavel Sîrghi, Alin Stanciu, George Dometi, Adrian Locovei (accordion), Florian Chelu (bass guitar), Alexandru Szuz (drums).

The International Festival of Performing Arts "Theaterstock" Bacau, during the 16 days of performances, had an attractive program, including 138 theater performances, 16 concerts, 20 street performances and 4 theater-dance performances, which brought together 1600 artists from both the country and abroad in front of a large audience.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
