AWARDS OF THE 19TH EDITION OF THE SHORT THEATRE FESTIVAL
The 19th edition of the Short Theatre Festival 2013 – Oradea, September 20-29, 2013
Dramatic Creation Competition for short plays:
The jury, consisting of Elisabeta Pop (theater critic), Ioan Moldovan (poet, director of Familia Magazine) and Traian Ștef (writer, editor at Familia Magazine), decided to award the play the prize.

In the Best Actress category, the jury selected three interpretations
- Tokai Andrea for the role of WOMAN I in GARDENIA (by Elzbieta Chowaniec, artistic direction Koltai M. Gabor) – Hungarian State Theatre „Csiky Gergely”, Timișoara
- Borbely B. Emilia for the role of WOMAN II in GARDENIA (by Elzbieta Chowaniec, artistic direction Koltai M. Gabor) – Hungarian State Theatre „Csiky Gergely”, Timișoara
- Lorincz Rita for the role of WOMAN III in GARDENIA (by Elzbieta Chowaniec, artistic direction Koltai M. Gabor) – Hungarian State Theatre „Csiky Gergely”, Timișoara

In the category of best actor, the jury retained three interpretations:
- Anton Tauf for the role of BARRYMORE in BARRYMORE (by William Luce, artistic direction Tudor Lucanu) – „Lucian Blaga” National Theatre, Cluj-Napoca
- Richard Balint for the role of PAUL in THE CUT (by Mark Ravenhill, artistic direction Alexandru Mihăiescu), – „Ioan Slavici” Classical Theatre, Arad
- Constantin Cojocaru for the role of SHHEFFLER in UGLY (by Marius von Mayenburg, artistic direction Vlad Cristache) – Bucharest Comedy Theatre

- Alexandru Mihăescu for directing the show THE CUT (by Mark Ravenhill) – „Ioan Slavici” Classical Theatre, Arad
Best Direction Award: Gabor Tompa for directing the show LEONIDA GEM SESSION (adaptation after Caragiale, stage version by Gabor Tompa and Andras Visky) – Hungarian State Theatre Cluj
- The special jury award, established after watching all the performances in the festival, was awarded for originality and opportunity to the performance CEI CE NU UITĂ (script and artistic direction: Gavriil Pinte) – Regina Maria Theater, Oradea

Premiere of the show "The Awakening"„
The Regina Maria Theatre announces the premiere of the show "Deșteptarea", a contemporary text by Doru Vatavlui, directed by Bobi Pricop, which will take place on January 17 and 18, 2026, from 7:00 PM, in the theatre's Great Hall. PRESS RELEASE | Selection of the Oradea International Theatre Festival 2026
On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
