The Regina Maria Theater celebrates National Culture Day through a series of cultural events in Bihor County

On the occasion of National Culture Day, the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea is preparing a series of special events dedicated to celebrating Romanian cultural heritage. On Wednesday, January 15, the entire Bihor community is invited to participate in a series of activities that will bring to the fore both literary traditions and the importance of culture in our daily lives. From poetry performances and recitals dedicated to the great classics of Romanian literature, to interactive meetings with contemporary authors, the proposed program will respond to a wide spectrum of tastes and interests. Each event will be an opportunity to reflect on the role of culture in the formation of our national identity and to rediscover the beauty of the Romanian word.

a show performed by Șerban Borda

A show about culture and its role today, sprinkled with opinions from intellectuals like Andrei Pleșu or Cezar Ivănescu and poems by poets Ana Blandiana, Ion Pribeagu, Marin Sorescu, Nichita Stănescu, Horațiu Mălăele, Ioan Es.Pop, Nicolae Dabija, George Topârceanu, Lucian Vasilescu or ILCaragiale (as a poet, this time).

HANDBOOKS: CONTEMPORARY AUTHORS
dialogue meeting with Adina Popescu, Alex Moldovan and Mircea Pricăjan

The event aims to promote reading and create a deep connection between young readers and the world of contemporary literature. At the same time, it represents a tribute to Romanian writers, creators of relevant and current works, addressed to new generations. The meeting-dialogue with students from several Oradea schools will be moderated by Miron Beteg, supported by authors Adina Popescu, Alex Moldovan and Mircea Pricăjan and will include readings offered by actors from the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea.
Event organized in partnership with the "Gheorghe Șincai" Bihor County Library and the "Familia" Cultural Magazine.

The Regina Maria Theater invites you to a poetry recital dedicated to one of the most remarkable female figures in contemporary literature: Nina Cassian. The recital is part of the series of events dedicated to poetry "TRM poetry" and will be performed by actors Ioana Dragoș Gajdó, Anda Tămășanu, Lucia Rogoz, Anca Sigmirean, Ciprian Ciuciu and Cosmin Petruț.

The Regina Maria Theatre announces the premiere of the show "Deșteptarea", a contemporary text by Doru Vatavlui, directed by Bobi Pricop, which will take place on January 17 and 18, 2026, from 7:00 PM, in the theatre's Great Hall.
