164 years since the birth of Mihai Eminescu (15 Jan. 1850 – 15 June 1889)

5:00 PM – laying of flowers and recitation of the poem „La Steaua” – Statue of Mihai Eminescu, The event begins at 5:00 PM, when the laying of flowers will take place at the statue of Mihai Eminescu, located in Independence Square. The moment will be marked by the choral recitation of the poem „La Steaua”, a poem that will be printed on paper and that all participants in the event will receive.

6:00 PM – INTERNAL DIALOGUES – a show by Radu Vaida

Guests: actor Eusebiu Ştefănescu and flutist Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu – Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theater 

This month's INTERNAL DIALOGUES show is special, dedicated to the poet Mihai Eminescu. The guests of this edition will be Eusebiu Ştefănescu and Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu. Eusebiu Ştefănescu, a complex personality in the field of speech and stage art, theater and film actor, poet, writer, theorist and practitioner of theatrical performance and rhetoric of stage language, is known as an actor for his roles in films such as "The Return of Vodă Lăpuşneanu" (1979), "The Phalanster" (1979), "The Silence from the Depths" (1982), "A Light on the Tenth Floor" (1984), "The Extras" (1986), "Rock'n'roll High School Students" (1991), and the more recent "Păcală se întorce". In addition to his numerous roles in cinema and theater, Eusebiu Ştefănescu is known to poetry lovers for the performances in which he recites the verses of Nichita Stănescu and Mihai Eminescu, conquering the audience with the lyrical magic of the word. spoken under the spotlight. Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu is the first flutist of the George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest and a member of well-known music ensembles: Contraste, Profil, Pro Contemporania and in 2006 he founded the Concertino ensemble. Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu is the laureate of numerous awards and distinctions: Golden Lira – Suceava, Singing of Romania, Musical Interpretation Competition (Târgu-Mureş), the ”Gh. Dima” Conservatory Award (Cluj-Napoca), the ”GB Viotti” competition (Vercelli, Italy) in the Chamber Music section, where he obtained the Diploma of Honor (1984), First Prize at the ”Concertino” competition (Prague-1986), the ”Cella Delavrancea„ Award for outstanding merits in culture (1993), etc. He is also a permanent guest of international festivals.

The direction and conception of the show Inner Dialogues are the work of director Radu Vaida, and the set design belongs to Ianis Vasilatos.

The last event in the program dedicated to January 15th is an evening of music based on the lyrics of Mihai Eminescu. The recital will take place at the Butoiul de Aur restaurant.
