"Tom Vinegar" in FNT 2022
The show "Vinegar Tom", by Caryl Churchill, directed by Dragoș Alexandru Mușoiu, is part of the selection of the 32nd edition of the Bucharest National Theater Festival, which will take place between November 5-13, 2022. The joy is even greater, as it is the second consecutive year in which shows from the repertoire of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe of the Regina Maria Theater are found in the festival selection, this year being "Three Tall Women" and "Legacy of Luck".
The curatorial team of FNT 2022, consisting of Mihaela Michailov, Oana Cristea Grigorescu and Călin Ciobotari, selected for this edition performances from across the country, proposed by state and independent theaters, to which international performances were added, guided by the festival concept, namely: Fragile Borders. Fluid Histories.
Spectacolul „Vinegar Tom” va face parte din secțiune „Istorii fluide”, subsecțiune „Macro-istorii. Societăți fragmentate, care grupează spectacole ce revizitează relația cu trecutul și interoghează prezentul, recitesc istorii colective și de familie din perspective subiective și chestionează episoade controversate din istoria oficială.
„Vinegar Tom” a avut premiera la Teatrul Regina Maria în 19 aprilie 2022. Subiectul pe care îl dezvoltă este inspirat din realitatea obiectivă: vânătoarea de vrăjitoare în Anglia secolului al XVII-lea, dar aduce în prim-plan o temă arzătoare, incomodă: discriminarea de gen și condiția femeii într-o societate patriarhală. Intriga, asemeni textelor brechtiene, este alternată de inserții muzicale contemporane, care funcționează ca un comentariu asupra subiectului, cu scopul de a genera o atitudine critică în spectator, dar și ca un arc de legătură între trecut și prezent, reliefând evoluția, schimbarea și problemele care încă persistă.
Din distribuție fac parte actorii: Alina Leonte (Alice), Ioana-Maria Repciuc (Susan), Elvira Rîmbu (Joan Noakes), Adela Lazăr (Margery), Pavel Sîrghi (Jack), Giorgiana Coman (Betty), Anda Tămășanu (Ellen), Richard Balint (Packer), George Dometi (Goody, doctorul), Alin Stanciu (bărbatul, Bellringer), Corina Cernea (Kramer) și Angela Tanko (Sprenger).
Luiza Enescu și Oana Cernea semnează costumele, decorul spectacolului este realizat de către Răzvan Chendrean, iar asistența de regie și coregrafia îi aparțin actriței Denisa Irina Vlad.

The "Iosif Vulcan" troupe of the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea presents on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall, the premiere of the show "An Enemy of the People", adaptation by Thomas Ostermeier and Florian Borchmeyer after Henrik Ibsen, directed by Radu Iacoban.
The cast consists of: Alina Leonte (Katharina Stockmann), Richard Balint (Peter Stockmann), Răzvan Vicoveanu (Thomas Stockmann), Gabriela Codrea (Nina Aslaksen), Elvira Rîmbu (Marta Kill), Alin Stanciu (Hovstad) and Tudor Manea (Billing).
