TWELFTH NIGHT, SELECTED AT FNT 2013!

The show produced by the Regina Maria Theatre in the 2012-2013 season, TWELFTH NIGHT (by William Shakespeare, directed by Alexandru Mâzgăreanu), was selected to participate in the XXIII Edition of the National Theatre Festival, which takes place between October 25 and November 3, 2013 in Bucharest. The festival is organized by the Romanian Theatre Union (UNITER), with funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Bucharest City Hall, through ArCuB.

Keeping the structure of the 2011 and 2012 editions broadly the festival will have as its central axis this year the section dedicated to a great Romanian artist – now, actress Mariana Mihuţ will be present in four shows united under the generic title Focus: The Art of the Actor. The other sections will be Caragiale, the inevitable; Stage legends; Creators and theaters in performance; The Theatre of Tomorrow; The actor, in the foreground.

The Regina Maria Theatre performance will participate in the section The Theatre of Tomorrow.

Every theater is part of a community. Every community has a story.
Every year, on 25 October, historic buildings across Europe, along with other institutions dedicated to heritage, celebrate the European Historic Theaters Day.
Our Shared Stage celebrates historic buildings as spaces that belong to multiple generations, communities and cultures. A theater is more than a stage or an auditorium: it is a place of encounter, shaped by all those who have worked, learned and performed within its walls.
