A busy week for theater lovers
This week, at the Regina Maria Theater, we invite you to laugh, be moved, and be amazed by some of the shows that are part of this season's repertoire:
Monday, February 4, from 7:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall – DOMNIȘOARA IULIA – a love story between Domnișoara Iulia, the restless daughter of the count, and Jean, his skillful lackey. The two represent the social classes of the time, engaged in the struggle for supremacy.
Tuesday, February 5, from 7:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall – ENIGMATIC VARIATIONS – on a deserted island in the Norwegian Sea lives a writer, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Erik Larsen, the journalist who visits him, wants to know everything about the famous book dedicated to "HM", but gets too deep into the sentimental life of the misanthrope writer.
Wednesday, 6 and Thursday, 7 February, from 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall (with the audience on stage) – AVALANȘA – the conditions in which some people living at the foot of the Anatolian mountains live are more than harsh. They are forced to censor not only the sounds that are too loud, but an entire section of the life of the small community. Fear educates them in such a way that the definition of normality is replaced by some rules that, for those who do not live with them, may seem absurd.
On Saturday, February 9, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall, children will be able to enjoy the new premiere of the Arcadia Troupe: ISPRĂVILE LUI PĂCALĂ, a show dedicated to children over 9 years old, based on a text by Constantin Cubleşan, directed by Petre Ghimbăşan. The show is a fresco of the Romanian village, full of humor, irony and meaning, which brings to the forefront immortal folk themes and motifs.
Sunday, February 10, from 11:00, at the Arcadia Hall – we invite you, young and old, to witness the adventures of APOLODOR, THE TRAVELING PENGUIN – the friendly tenor who sets off on a journey to satisfy his longing for his brothers in Labrador. Also on Sunday, from 19:00, at the Great Hall, theater lovers can enjoy the show HAMLET'S TRAP, which depicts a real chess game taking place in the courtyard of Elsinore Castle. The actors called to present a theater show for the new royal couple become the naive pawns of a well-planned betrayal.
Tickets can be purchased from the Theatre Agency from Tuesday to Friday between 12:00 and 18:00 and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00. You can also purchase tickets one hour before the show or online at www.biletmaster.ro.
