A renowned pedagogue, a distinguished man of culture, director Zoe Anghel Stanca was an eminent theater teacher, with numerous important actors of the Romanian stage being her students and, at the same time, good friends. Several of her former students also worked in Oradea. This being the case, it is natural to encounter her name, especially after retirement, on the posters of numerous theaters: Braşov, Târgu Mureş, Arad, Turda, Cluj-Napoca, Bacău, Iaşi, Botoşani, Galaţi, etc.

In Oradea, the director was rarely employed (1982-1983) or collaborated only periodically. In general, she accepted the theater's proposals, because, as a serious professional, she sometimes rewrote her texts in her own versions (when it came to contemporary plays), as in the case of the play "Coborând dintr-o poveste" (she collaborated closely with the actor Valentin Avrigeanu, the author of the play); the same thing happened with Ilena Vulpescu's "Arta conversaţiei", a play that the director staged in two theaters. With Adrian Dohotaru she had a fruitful collaboration on the play "Îndrăgostiții de la ora 9 seara".

The director successfully staged the comedy "The Florentine Hat" by Eugèn Labiche, and for the show "Intrigue and Love" by Friedrich Schiller, she composed her own version, based on the Western model.

Much has been written about the special ability of director Zoe Anghel Stanca to work with actors. Certainly, Ms. Zoe's long teaching career and her pedagogical sense contributed to the exceptional way she worked with actors, to whom she gave small theater lessons, appealing to their cultural background, talent, and also their state of mind. She did it with tact and understanding. The generosity with which Ms. Zoe knew how to extend a hand to young people, whom she helped not only with advice, but also with money, often...

A man of perfect civility, coming from a family of intellectuals, Mrs. Zoe knew theater both from the thousands of books she had read and from her own stage experience. She knew very well both the secrets of the stage and its backstage, she had a perfect connection with the technicians, so she presented, for the guild, a guarantee of seriousness and professionalism.
