Magda Bordeianu came to Oradea in 1972, after all the theatrical world knew her as the very young director who, in Bucharest, founded the famous Podul theater – a risky enterprise, almost an adventure, but an extraordinarily conducive space for theatrical experiments, a place of manifestation for numerous young artists, some future stars. She learned from her masters, directors Lucian Giurchescu and Cornel Todea, rigor, a taste for valuable plays, balance, discipline, refinement, generosity towards actors.

The show "Vlad the Impaler in January" (1972) by Mircea Bradu was a complete success. In the setting signed by the talented Sică Rusescu, suggesting a palace, a monastery or a mausoleum (enormous vaults of smoked stone), she "intelligently composed the show... helped enormously by Ştefan Sileanu, an excellent performer of the title role. The chroniclers (the late Valentin Silvestru, Dumitru Chirilă, Radu Enescu) unanimously praised Magda Bordeianu's performance.

In 1973, she directed the play "Preşul". Ion Băieşu's comedy was an enormous success at the Bucharest Comedy Theatre, especially thanks to Stella Popescu - a sure-fire headliner who brought in an audience (four hundred or even five hundred performances). Magda Bordeianu cast Anca Miere Chirilă in the inspired lead role in Oradea. A robust talent, the actress "pulled" the role to her specifications, the play being less moralizing, but comical and cheerful. The director carefully guided the actors, so that the play aroused laughter throughout. "Unable to cover the lack of human content in the text" - it was written - "it was not the director's happiest encounter in the theatrical sphere", however, we add, the play was obviously of average value.

Unfortunately, the coupé show "For a Little Song" ("The Beggar or the Dead Dog" by Bertolt Brecht and "Picnic on the Battlefield" by Fernando Arrabal - was a failure, and this was due primarily to the haste with which the two plays were chosen, and, last but not least, probably to the real lack of interest in these texts, which were otherwise difficult, both on the part of the director and the performers, who had difficulty coping with the complex characters, treated with some superficiality.

The director works and lives in Germany (Meissen). She runs a theater (Theatre M) and a theater school, with skill and remarkable artistic results.
