Tacoi, Cristina

Actress
Date and place of birth: 08.06.1933, Pleniţa
Studies: IATC "ILCaragiale" Bucharest, 1955
Another one of the "group of twelve" who came after graduation to lay the foundations of the Romanian section of the Oradea theater, in 1955. A talented and expressive actress, she was the "head of the bill" in almost all the premieres played in the four seasons spent in Oradea.
In her very first year, at the first major national theater competition – the Decade of Original Dramaturgy in 1956 – she won the First Prize for Female Performance with the role of Ioana in the play "Our Heart" by Valeriu Luca. But she hurried her departure to the capital, to the "CINottara" Theater, where there were three or four other actresses of the same gender, and, although she had proven her worth, not only in the nineteen main roles played in Oradea, her use did not bring her the performance she deserved to achieve.
Struck by the fate that prematurely and dramatically took her only child, Cristina Tacoi took refuge in poetry, showing real literary qualities in the volumes of published verses. She is a remarkable poet, who had the courage and spiritual strength to publish the diary of Cătălin Bursaci, the son who left for the world of shadows at only eighteen years old (deceased by leukemia): "First book, last book" and her own moving volume: "I cry, beloved prince".
He also appeared in TV shows or feature films, but not to the extent his great talent would have entitled him to.
