Very beautiful, tall, slim, blonde with blue eyes, Tania Filip was the young woman long awaited by the theater, destined for the roles befitting a star. Here is the portrait of her by the late Dumitru Chirilă in the magazine "Familia": "This girl, of a special beauty, preserving something of the pale light of the north on her face and the serenity of Rublev's Madonnas in her eyes, seems destined for a brilliant career". When they got to know her better, the management and directors realized that they had in front of them a young woman who loved reading, books, had read a lot, was very punctual, serious, disciplined, without the airs of a star (although she would become the star of the troupe in a short time), displaying simplicity and a sincere and deep love for the stage. Even as a student, he was entrusted with several roles of immense significance for a young man: Ophelia (from William Shakespeare's "Hamlet"), Nora (from Henrik Ibsen's play), Miss Iulia (from August Strindberg's play of the same name), Elena (from William Shakespeare's "Troilus and Cressida"), Iphigenia (from Mircea Eliade's play).

A debutat cu rolul Fecioarei, „crochiu rapid şi subtil”, cum s-a scris, în spectacolul „Schimbarea la faţă” de G.M.Zamfirescu – premieră absolută. A jucat rolul tinerei Ana, destin străbătut de problemele vârstei (iubire, neînţelegeri cu părinţii, decepţii, etc.) în spectacolul „Îndrăgostiţii de la ora 9 seara” de Adrian Dohotaru.

Şi-a onorat pe deplin etapa de stagiară, jucând şi cântând în fermecătorul spectacol pentru copii „Mary Poppins” de Silvia Kerim după Pamela Travers. A fost cuceritoare, ajungând preferata copiilor, care s-au declarat fanii ei, mulţi dintre ei solicitând şcolilor să revadă spectacolul. Dar rolul în care am recunoscut talentul unei viitoare actriţe importante a fost Lulu, în spectacolul „Aniversarea” de Harold Pinter, unul din spectacolele cele mai bune semnate de Sergiu Savin. Spectacolul a fost îndelung analizat de critici şi mult lăudat. Despre jocul Taniei Filip (alături de actori importanţi ai trupei – Ion Mâinea, Eugen Ţugulea, Eugen Harizomenov, Anca Miere Chirilă, George Voinese (colegul de an al Taniei) – s-a scris că a fost marcat de „mobilitate scenică, de firesc şi, mai ales, de o certă maturitate, în pofida vârstei fragede a actriţei. Într-o convorbire pe care a avut-o cu secretara literară Elisabeta Pop, publicată în caietul-program al spectacolului, pledează pentru teatrul de valoare, „cel prost – spune ea – perverteşte, alterează gusturile”. „Teatrul înseamnă adevăr interior, exteriorizat… artistic”.

Azi e profesor universitar dr. la U.N.A.T.C. „I.L.Caragiale” Bucureşti.
